This is a lily we have planted in our front flower bed. We planted it several years ago and each summer the girls anxiously await for it to bloom. Yesterday it was completely closed and today this is what we came out to. It is so beautiful and vibrant but the bloom only lasts a few short days before it dries up in the summer heat. I love how this picture captures all the tiniest details and colors.
