I'm Not Tireeeddddd...........

Sunday, February 27, 2011
Mackenzie zonked out this afternoon while watching a movie.  After she had already asked me if she had to take a nap because she wasn't tired.  Clearly.  She looks so sweet all snuggled up with her Blankie and Baby Alive.

Beautiful Flowers

Saturday, February 26, 2011
We worked in the front yard flower beds and garden alllllllllllll day today!  They needed clean out so bad.  But we got it all done and now for the fun part, planting all the flowers and yummy stuff in the garden!  We had the kids outside with us all day and one of the things the girls did was pick us a bouquet of "flowers".  I didn't have the heart to tell them they were weeds.  Or that their Dad had just killed them with a massive dose of round up.  But for the time being these are the centerpiece on our dining room table.

Eventful Day!

Friday, February 25, 2011
Today was my Pop's 80th birthday!!  So I made him a cake for the celebration!
My Pop and my Mom with the cake.  It was yummy!
Can't have a party without out the decorations!
One of my best friends in the world who I have know since I was 16 was graduating from the Norman Police Academy today.  I was so glad I got to go, it was such a special thing to see.  And I got to hear him make the speech for the graduates (which he didn't tell anyone he was doing, shame on you!) and he did an awesome job.  Congratulations Officer McWhorter!!!
And while I was gone my baby pulled up for the first time : ( I don't know why he keeps insisting on doing these things for his Daddy while I am gone.

Twins!

Thursday, February 24, 2011

I didn't see much of Macy in Noah as a newborn.  I thought he favored Mackenzie more but was actually a pretty good mix of both of them.  But as he has gotten older he is starting to look like Macy's little clone!
I love looking at pictures of them side by side!  Macy had quite a bit more hair than Noah but other than that they look SOOOO much alike!

Another One Bites The Dust!

Wednesday, February 23, 2011

We thought we were done with the flu at our house but Macy got sick today.  Doc was being sweet and keeping her company.  Now but will Mackenzie escape our germs??? She is the only one who hasn't gotten it.  I was doing my best to keep their germs apart and I told them a dozen times not to drink after each other.  But tonight while I was putting Noah to bed I came out into the living room to find Mackenzie drinking after Macy!!!  This is what went down.

Me:  WHY?!? Are you drinking after Macy????
Macy:  Mom...  We are playing baby and she is pretending to be a baby (they had a sippy cup).
Me:  Um, ok.  So again, why is she drinking after you??
Macy:  Mom (rolling her eyes acting like I am being ridiculous) she isn't drinking after me.  The cup is empty.
Me:  You realize she still has your germs.  You put that cup in your mouth.  Then she put it in her mouth.  You have germed her.
Macy:  But Mom, it was empty!  She didn't "drink" after me!

As frustrated as I was, it was still really funny.  They thought they were doing what I told them!

My Favorite Things

Tuesday, February 22, 2011
I didn't have a picture of anything overly exciting today so I thought I would fill in the gaps with some of my favorite things.  #1 is this plate!  I LOVE LOVE this plate!  My friend Anita Goza made this for me when she was my Secret Sister at church.  I just love how cute it is and it's so personal and thoughtful.  We have this hanging in our kitchen and it blesses me everyday to see it!

Finally!

Monday, February 20, 2011
My Mom bought these puffs for Noah MONTHS ago because the girls always loved them.  Noah being the weird baby he is COULD NOT eat them up until the last month or so.  Even though the girls loved them from about 6 months on he gagged on them Every.Single.Time he ate them.  And then he would throw up.  It was ridiculous.  So I would put them back in the cabinet and try about a month later.  He was seriously 10 months before he could handle them.  But once he figured out how to chew them he loved them just like the girls.  I love them because they are perfect for learning to pick up food, which he has now mastered.

I honestly never thought I would see the bottom of this container!

My Cleaning Boy

Sunday, February 20, 2011

Noah has developed an odd interest in the vacuum cleaner.  The girls were always terrified of it.  But he follows me all over the house when I vacuum.  He insisted on playing with it before I put it up.

He was pushing it down the hall.  Hopefully this is a sign he will love to help me clean!!  Probably not, but I can hope!
And here is being a giant weirdo and banging the back of his head against the wall.  It's his new favorite hobby.

Noah 11 Months

 Saturday, February 19, 2011

I took Noah outside to get some pictures.  I forgot how good my camera takes pictures outside!  He was fascinated with the leaves.
I love his facial expressions.  He has so many!
Pure glee!
Such a sweet sweet boy!!!  He just started crawling about a week ago but he has already mastered it and is all over the house.  It is so cute to see him slowly making his way somewhere.  It's like he is seeing everything for the first time now that he can get to it himself.  Everything fascinates him!  He has discovered the dog food.  He has started eating a few more things, but his favorite is still macaroni and cheese.  He has decided that he would rather feed himself rather than let us do it (it's like he doesn't trust us!?)  If you feed him something and he isn't 100% what it is he will spit it back out and inspect it.  If he deems it worthy of eating it goes back in his mouth and if not he drops it on the floor for Doc.  He has already figured that out!  He is getting even more vocal and he will mimic sounds you make.  The girls love this game!

So sad...

Friday, February 18, 2011
What I had been dreading all week finally happened today.  I got the flu!  And the saddest part was we couldn't go to Dave Ramsey in OKC.  Me and Jason really like his radio show and had been planning on going for several months.  So sad.  So we spent the weekend lazing around all recouping from the nasty flu.  Boo.

Doctor Mackenzie

Thursday, February 17, 2011
Mackenzie was being cute doctoring her Baby Alive.  She would wear PJ's 24/7 if we let her!

I Like You Aiden

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

They sent out candy grams at school on Monday.  Macy sent one to her friend Jillian and I asked her if she had any other friends she wanted to send one to but she said no.  Me and Jason sent her one, Jillian, and she also got one from her "boyfriend" Aiden.  She felt really bad that she hadn't thought to send him one so she made him a homemade candy gram to take him today.  She also taped a heart sucker to the front right before we walked out the door.  I thought this was too cute.  She wrote it all by herself!

RIP IPhone

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

I dropped my phone in the toilet last Thursday when I was trying to multitask by cleaning the bathroom and texting Jason.  I had just got done scrubbing the toilet and it slipped right out of my hand. I dried it off and it was still working!  But as the days went by I had to keep pushing the home screen button harder and harder to get it to respond.  Yesterday afternoon it officially just stopped working.  Luckily Jason has an old IPhone I can use for the time being.  Deep down am hoping if I just let it be for a few weeks it will magically start working again.  Doubtful, but I can hope.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Monday, February 14, 2011
This year was kind of an odd Valentine's Day.  I had to work, the kids had school and daycare, and Jason got sick.  Both girls had Valentine's parties and got tons of candy.  At holidays I usually let them a little then put their sacks up and ration it out.  But they are always bugging me to eat it and then they don't eat their dinner, yada, yada.  So I decided to try a different stradegy.  I told them they could eat all they wanted.  Eat it all for I care.  They both looked at me like maybe Momma had lost her mind.  But it actually worked really well.  They ate a bunch, but some they decided wasn't that great so they threw it away to move onto better things.  But it did get rid of 90% of their candy!   I figured they are going to ingest it one way or another, who cares if it is all at once or over a month.

This is how Jason spent his Valentine's Day.  He had the flu and looked like he was about to slip off into a coma.  No fun!

Baby Alive #2

Sunday, February 13, 2011

Macy got a Baby Alive for Christmas and Mackenzie loves to play with her.  But Macy has become increasingly possessive of her "Precious Baby Alive" and it has caused many fights.  So I told Mackenzie she could use some of her birthday/holiday money to buy one for herself.  At first she wasn't too sure about having to part with her own money but in the end she decided it was worth it.  I took her on a special trip to Wal-Mart so she could pick it out.  Thank goodness she picked one that was a little different than Macy's.  I helped her count out her money and give to the cashier and she was so proud of herself.

Happy 3rd Birthday Reese!

Saturday, February 12, 2011

I made Resese a tee pee for her birthday and here is a pic of all the crazy kiddos enjoying it!!  They are so spastic it's hard to get a pic of them all looking in any one direction at any given time.  Happy Birthday Reese!

Noah Is Officially Crawling!

Friday, February 11, 2011

Noah has been mobile and getting around for several weeks but today he finally put all the pieces together and officially started crawling.  See how he is looking all sweet and innocent at the girls playing cards??

He thinks.  Hmmmm... I might want to eat those.

Yup.  I do.  And now I can.  I will take that please!

The girls are tattling on Noah for stealing their cards.  What they don't know is this is only the beginning!!

Sweet Little Feet

Thursday, February 10, 2011
I found this in Noah's cubby at church this week.  I had put it there to bring home and had forgotten about it.  I brought it home this week and put it up for safe keeping!  Aren't his little feet just too precious!

Oh We Are Going To Have Our Hands Full.

Wednesday, February 9, 2011 We were snowed in yet again today. Noah was playing in our living room and in a matter of minutes he had pulled my wooden bowl off a shelf, pulled a bunch of the girls books down and was trying to rip pages out (he was ignoring all his baby books) and then found my cedar chest and was slamming the drawers open and closed. I think we had it too easy with the girls and now we are in for it. They were such easy toddlers. In this picture Noah is doing his new favorite hobby and ripping off our corner guards on our fireplace. These had been in place since Macy was a baby and they never even noticed them. Oy. Poor guy doing his best to pull up. At least he's getting two butt cheeks off the ground now instead of just one!

Baby Cleaner Upper

Tuesday, February 7, 2011 I cannot even fathom the amount of food people have to clean up after their children if they don't have a dog. We have had Doc since before Macy was born so he has always been there to take one for the team and deal with all their scraps. He is like a little portable vacuum cleaner. And as you can see, he even does high chairs!!! Best dog ever!

Cute Diapers

Monday, February 7, 2011 I had Jason put me up a little clothes line in our laundry room to hang up Noah's diapers so they can line dry. It's hard on them to put them in the dryer and they just won't hold up as long so I almost always hang them up to dry. I just think they look so cute! I can't wait till it starts getting warm, I am going to have him put me a clothes line outside too!

Valentine's Day Bags

Sunday, February 6, 2011 I saw this idea for felt Valentine's Day bags on a blog and thought they were just too cute! They were fun to make and I love that we can reuse them every year!

: (

Saturday, February 5, 2011 During the four days we were on lock down in the house I did some cleaning and purging. I finally decided it was time to let go of some of Noah's baby stuff. I put in on Craigslist and within a day a lady had called and wanted all of it. It was nice because it was so easy and I know it went to someone who would love it, but it was so sad watching it go. It's hard to admit Noah isn't a little baby anymore and that he really is the last one. : (

Snowpocolypse - Day 4

Friday, February 4, 2011 By now the full on crazies have set in!!! We spent part of the day playing in a tee pee and having a Harry Potter marathon. Brought some snow in the house to play with. Noah loved it, it was the first time he had ever felt snow. It had been way to cold to take him outside. But this is mostly what he did to it. He really enjoyed licking it and knocking down Macy's mini snowmen. Painted toes. Sweet siblings. At least they look that way in the picture.

Snowpocolypse - Day 3

Thursday, February 3, 2011 The cabin fever is starting to set in. All 5 of us had been stuck in the house going on day 3. What to do??? Make snow ice cream! Yum! Even Noah was a fan!
