Today was the girls ballet recital rehearsal.  I was soooo excited to see Mackenzie dance because Jason has been taking her to class all year and so I haven't got to her dance at all.  The poor girl is about a head shorter than the rest of her class but she was so cute and did SO good dancing.  I can't wait to see them again on Saturday!

Today the girls where playing and they insisted I come see what Noah was doing.  Mackenzie had filled up her Baby Alive bottle with the intention of feeding her and got distracted and left the bottle in the playroom.  Guess who found it and figured out he could drink it?? Noah.  It was super funny, but a little bit gross at the same time.  He seemed pretty pleased with himself.

Macy's class got to take a field trip today to the Sam Noble museum because they have been studying dinosaurs in class.  Macy is particularly fascinated with snakes.  Gross.  I am not sure where she gets it.  She had a blast on the field trip.

The girls were excited to see what the Easter bunny left them!

Noah was SUPER excited about his basket.

Even after he ate all the fruit snacks out of his eggs and I got him dressed it kept him busy until it was time to go to church.

When I went outside this evening the sky had turned that eerie yellow color it does right before storms.  I always forget until I see it.  I like storms, but it also turns this color when there are tornado's.  Luckily no tornado's tonight, just rain!

Today some of the girls best buddies came over for a little pre-Easter egg hunt.

After about 10 minutes I noticed that Mackenzie had been being very quiet.  I look over and all her eggs are open and her face looks like this.  I asked her if she had eaten EVERY piece of candy she had opened.  She said "um..... yes."  Thank goodness only about 1/4 of them had candy!  Sneaky kid.

After we all got home the girls wanted to play outside and since it was 100 degrees today (ridiculous!) they decided to play in the sprinkler.  The had so much fun and even had a picnic dinner outside.  But when they were finally ready to come in they had dirt from head to toe.  And somehow Noah got sand all in his hair today.... We usually give them baths 1 or 2 at a time, but decided to just stick all 3 in.  This is actually the first time all 3 of them have ever been in the tub together.  It was so cute, but nearly impossible to actually wash anyone.  They are growing up too fast : (

The girls got to go to their first "real" tea party today.  They have been sooo excited about it and practicing their lady like manners.  Which if you ask Macy her first response will be "Yeah, like don't pull your dress up in front of everyone."  Hm.  I promise she didn't learn that from her Momma!

We spent Saturday at my parent's house celebrating with all my family and friends!!  Yay!  Noah was super excited about the hot tub.  

Mackenzie wasn't so much into the hot tub.  She had "her people".  That's all she really needs in life.

Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake.  Life changing.  Best birthday cake ever.

Noah grabbed Deborah's coke and threw it down.  After he realized what it was he then spit it all over himself. 

For reason's I can not understand Mackenzie insists on wearing bows like this.  I keep telling her it makes her look like a poodle.

And this was right before we left and Noah was up WAYYY past his bedtime.  He was getting starting to get a little weird, but it kept us entertained. 
Turning 30 ended up not being nearly as bad as I thought.  I have so many sweet family and friends that made my birthday week wonderful.  Thank you and I love you!

I got to spend my birthday with my 4 favorite people!!  They are at the age where they love all things birthday, so I got to hear them tell me Happy Birthday about 68 times.  And like I told them, it never gets old!

 

Noah was not really into the whole picture taking.  Macy was trying to help but it seemed to just make him angrier.

 

Jason made one of my favorite meals, crab legs and a steamed artichoke.  Needless to say Mackenzie was NOT impressed.  She walked around like this for about 15 minutes complaining about how bad the house smelled.  Fine with us, we didn't want to share anyway!  The kids got mac and cheese for dinner.  

 

For dessert we had chocolate dipped strawberries.  Yum! Yum!!  It was a great birthday, even if I did turn 30!

Macy has been doing so good learning to read so I checked her a couple books out from the library.  I couldn't believe it when she read me almost all of Hop On Pop!  I only had to help her in a few places.  I think I just underestimated how much she really knew.  We have been reading short books every night since.

Every year since I moved to Duncan the median between Duncan and Marlow always has beautiful wild flowers in the spring.  Every year I kind of forget about it until they start blooming.  They are so beautiful and make my drive to work so much better!

Poor Kenzie has been going through a sleepy/cranky phase.  The poor girl has just not been herself.  I am really hoping it's just a growth spurt or something.  She has been crashing in the car way more than normal.

After Macy's soccer game this morning we headed to the Rattle Snake Hunt in Waurika.  This guy is completely nuts!  *shutter*  We all hate snakes so I am still not really sure why we go to this every year.....  I guess to see friends!

The kids had fun getting slushies,  ribbon-halo things, and eating nachos and funnel cake.

It was SO warm today for April.  The girls wanted to play in the sprinkler when we got home.  So did Chicken apparently.

That night Jason and Macy went to the bullfight in Ada.  She had sooo much fun having a "date night" with her Daddy.  They went to Chili's for dinner, which is her favorite!
