We finally decided to step into 2011 and get rid out our monstrosity of a TV and get a flat screen.  We had "plans" to take the top of our armoire off and just use the bottom as the stand.  But when we took the top of we discovered there was no top to the bottom part, just a tiny piece of wood going from front to back.  So we are keeping it classy and at the moment our fancy new TV is sitting on a piece of plywood.
