Happy Birthday Karmen!
Sunday, January 23, 2011
Today was one of Mackenzie's best little friends 3rd birthday party. She had a Tangled party which all the girls LOVED!
Nothing is more exciting to my kids than a birthday party. It doesn't even matter who's it is. A party is a party! Happy Birthday Karmen!
AH Beep-Beep!
Saturday, January 22, 2011
Jason has patiently waited to get his man vehicle for the last year while we saved the money for it and paid for babies, surgeries, air conditioners, and whatever else always seemed to eat our money. He finally got it and was like a kid at Christmas. I have to admit too it is super fun. And yes he is crazy and took the doors and hard top off in January! After freezing everyone out he decided to put them back on for the time being till it warms up a little. Yay for the man mobile!
Hello Clean Dishes!
Oh Macy.
Thursday, January 20, 2011
Macy has had a bit of trouble not talking, being still, and keeping her hands and feet to herself this year. She is my child. I know she tries but she just gets so antsy at school. Her teacher has mentioned it and we have talked with her some about it but apparently it became too much to handle today. This is what was in her backpack when she got home today.
We talked to her about it and she apologized to her teacher the next morning and her teacher sent me a message the next day saying Macy had a FANTASTIC day! She was so proud of herself!
Noah's 10 Months
Wednesday, January 15, 2011
Noah is 10 months today and my poor baby boy spent the day sick. We had thought he was teething but the tooth broke through and he just kept getting sicker so I took him to the doctor and found out he had RSV. He is so sweet even when he doesn't feel good.
So this is how he spent his evening, doing breathing treatment. He hated it but eventually got used to it. They helped improve his breathing so much.
He was so sick that day I didn't get many pictures, so I waited a few days till he was much better to get some pics of my happy-feeling-good Noah.
He's still rocking a hard core mullet!
He still isn't crawling but he gets where he wants to go. He has mastered the stretch and reach.
And the pivot and roll.
And body slamming Zu-Zu Pets.
He rolls all over the place till he gets where he's going.
See Ya!
All I Want Is My 2 Front Teeth!
Blueberry Jam. Mmmmmm....
Baby Alive Diapers
Sunday, January 16, 2011
Macy has been wanting me to make her some cloth diapers for her Baby Alive (the peeing and pooping baby). So I found a pattern for baby doll diapers and went at it. You can see next to Noah's diaper how tiny it really is!
They were actually kind of hard because it is exactly like a regular diaper, but TINY! So it was harder to work with.
I even made some snap in inserts, because she wanted "real" diapers. This is as real as it gets!
Her baby sporting her real diaper! Macy couldn't wait to get her to pee and poop in this thing! Crazy girl!
Fun Day Shopping With My Girl Macy
Saturday, January 15, 2011
I had some errands to run today in Lawton and Macy wanted to go to Jo Ann's with me to pick out some fabric (I'm training her up right!) It was nice to get some one on one time with her. It's not too often we get to spend the day together just the two of us! We hit the mall and ate some Chick-Fil-A.
Then we went to Jo Ann's and browsed allllllll the fabric!
Doggie Sweater
Friday, January 14, 2011
Someone sent me this pattern for the cutest doggie sweater ever! And Doc was in luck, I had some extra sweaters just waiting to be turned into something awesome!
Doc is new to sweater wearing so he wasn't too sure what to think. I told him once he got outside he would realize how fabulous they were.
PJ Pants
Thursday, January 13, 2011
The kids have wanted me to make them some cute PJ pants. We went to Jo Ann's last weekend and I let them pick out whatever fleece they wanted for pants. I thought they turned out super cute! I love the patterns the girls picked out. Macy's PJ pants Mackenzie's PJ pants Noah's PJ pants
Perfect Sewing Spot
Wednesday, January 12, 2011
I have been using the extra counter in our dining room for my sewing space for the last few months. At first it wasn't too out of control but as I accumulated more stuff it started taking over everything! And I am totally ADD and can't focus when there is crap everywhere. I am so much more productive and focused when stuff is organized.
Ahhhh... this is MUCH better! All my PUL and cotton fabrics.
More fabrics, scraps, wool sweaters.
Threads, patterns, and snaps.
And my "current projects" drawer. SO much better!
Brrrr......!
I Iz In Ur Bubble
Bathtime Buddies
Sunday, January 9, 2011
Now that Noah can sit in his bath seat so well he gets to take a bath with both girls! It is so nice because he can sit there and play happily while I give the girls a bath. He LOVES baths so he enjoys staying in extra long. And he gets super excited now that he has someone to play with. Up until now he took baths in his little baby tub so he was always by himself.
The Final Christmas
Saturday, January 8, 2011
We celebrated our final Christmas today with Jason's side of the family! We had to find a weekend when Jud, Holly, and London could come up from Houston so we could all get together. Such an adorable bunch of kiddos!! Aunt Holly saved the day right before this picture! We had set them all up there and Noah managed to wiggle his way off and she dove over there and caught him before he hit the ground! It was VERY impressive! She has some mad Momma skills!
All the kids ready to open presents!
And Noah ready to eat his presents : )
Sweet girls all piled up watching a movie together. I wish they got to see each other more often. They LOVE being together!
Poor Doc
Friday, January 7, 2011
We had a date night tonight with the Dickerson's and our friend Savannah was awesome enough to watch all 3 of our kids!! (Thanks Savannah!) We got home and Doc hung out with us for awhile before bed and seemed totally fine. Right before bed he threw up and we thought he had probably just eaten his dog food too fast. So we go to bed and he WILL NOT settle down! He kept going back and forth from our room to the living room and scratching and just acting weird, and he never has trouble settling down at night. So I go to see what is going on and this is what I find! He is COVERED from head to toe in hives!! It was the most pitiful thing I have ever seen. He was sooo itchy and was rubbing on everything.
Even his poor face was covered in hives : ( He scratched his poor ears so hard they started bleeding. Luckily our vet's answers calls at night (it was like 12:30 am) and he said to give him Benadryl. We only had children's Benadryl so Jason had to run to Walgreens to get some but it started helping within about 20 minutes and the hives went away and he could finally sleep. We still have no idea what he got into that he was so allergic to. He has never been allergic to anything before. I sure hope it doesn't happen again, but at least we know next time how much Benadryl to give him.
Dancing Queens!
Thursday, January 6, 2011
We got the girls Just Dance for the Wii for Christmas and it is SO fun!!! Everyone loves it and it is perfect for all ages. The Dickerson's came over for dinner tonight so we had to have a dance off! We only have 2 controllers, so yes Reese is using a TV remote! She didn't mind. Me and Carrie competed several times and I am pretty sure she beat me every time. It was highly entertaining but pictures of us were forbidden!
I (heart) Organizing
Wednesday, January 5, 2011
Every year when January rolls around it always makes me want to reorganize our house. So I decided to start with the biggest disaster of all, the playroom. With birthday's in September, November, and then Christmas, it had reached a point of being completely out of control. So I literally dumped every box, bin, and container in the whole room in a pile and sorted everything and threw away all the random crap that had accumulated.
Ahhhhh..... it looks so much better. The only thing I still have to do is I am going to make cute labels for all their toy bins to help them get things back where they belong.
