Jason's 30th Birthday!

Friday, August 6, 2010 Today we celebrated Jason's Big 3-0! It was a day full of fun birthday festivities. We went to OKC for the day and my parent's watched the kids for us. I had planned a day of things Jason would love before his party that night. First we got massages, then we went to Inspirations Tea Room for lunch, and then he went shopping while I went back to set up for the party. Wait... am I married to a woman?! Just kidding sweetheart, I love that you are a sensie!! We had a big pool party at my parent's house with all our family and friends. It was a great night and we all had a blast. Happy 30th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!

Mother's Ring

Thursday, August 5, 2010 I luuuuvvvveeee my Mother's ring! Jason got this for me this Mother's Day. I had seen them online and dropped a big hint, and he came through! I love how it moves around on my finger and there is always different kids names on top. It is so comfortable. I wear it all the time and don't ever take take it off!

9 Glorious Years

Wednesday, August 4, 2010 9 years ago today I married my best friend. God has blessed me with a great husband and amazing father to our kids. Even when life gets crazy we can always laugh together. I love you sweetheart!

Earlier today me and my sister were laughing about my wedding day. She was in charge of me for the day and getting me where I needed to be. I was so nervous I couldn't eat anything so she force fed me a Jamba Juice. And we Baby Stepped (just like in the movie What About Bob) to all our destinations for the day. Baby steps to the hairdresser... baby steps to the church.... It still makes me giggle. And in honor of all we have endured a girl in the youth at church made this for me and Jason because we luuuuuuvvvvveeee her fruit pizzas. Thanks Savannah!! You rock!

My Magic Shoes

Tuesday, August 3, 2010 I do love a new pair of shoes. Since I have gotten a little more serious about my running I decided it would be a good idea to get properly fitted (which I have never done) and invest in a good pair of running shoes. I am SO glad I did. I have weird feet. Which I kind of already knew, but someone just confirmed it for me. But they helped me find a pair that fit correctly and felt good on my feet. It has made such a difference in my running!! Yay for new shoes!

Heat Stroke

Monday, August 2, 2010 Seriously. I might have one.

Tummy Time!

Sunday, August 1, 2010 Noah has been working on his tummy time! He doesn't love it but he tolerates it so much better than the girls ever did. They would scream bloody murder if we put them on their tummies at all. He is getting really close to rolling over.

I didn't even notice the girls behind him until I loaded these pictures on the computer. They are always playing dress up. Silly girls!

My Extra Set of Hands

Saturday, July 31, 2010 Macy just adores her baby brother. The whole time I was pregnant she kept telling me she wanted a baby brother, and she lucked out! She has been so much help with him. She loves to hold him and is always there to cheer him up when he gets fussy. I am really going to miss her after school starts back!

"The White Water"

Friday, July 30, 2010 All summer Macy has been wanting to go to "The White Water" as she calls it. I told her if she practiced swimming and got to be a stronger swimmer I would take her before the summer was over. Well she has learned to swim and then some this summer. She not only can swim well, but can swim under water and go off the diving board and isn't afraid to get her face in the water. So me and my Dad took the girls. I knew we would have fun but I had no idea how much! I hoped the girls would be brave and ride several things. But you just never know with kids! Mackenzie would ride all the tube rides. She doesn't like to get her face in the water, which I can understand, she is only 3. But her favorite was the Lazy River. She had her duck floatie on and she loved just drifting along. Who wouldn't! But Macy was the one that shocked me. That girl was fearless. She rode EVERYTHING (except for 2 slides that she was too short for)! Her favorite thing was the cliffs. She never even hesitated. She just jumped right off and loved it. Look at the sheer glee on her face in this picture! She jumped off probably 10 times. But I just couldn't believe how brave she was. I am so glad she is comfortable in the water and becoming a strong swimmer. She makes her Momma proud! We went full blast for 6 hours till we finally had to leave and get back to Noah and dinner. It didn't take more than a few minutes for this to happen. Sweet girls!

Oh noes.

Thursday, July 29, 2010 Macy and Mackenzie woke up first this morning. They crawled in bed with me and then decided to go watch cartoons. I layed in bed awhile longer because Noah wasn't up yet. Macy is getting more self sufficient every day and wants to do everything for herself. A few minutes later I got up to let the dog out and poked my head into the kitchen and saw she had gotten the french toast sticks out of the freezer to heat up for her and Mackenzie. I had showed her how to heat things up in the microwave the day before. I go back and lay in bed and about 5 minutes later I hear the smoke detector go off. Uh-oh. I run into the kitchen and I find Macy holding this, with a horrified look on her face. Poor kid, I felt so bad for her. She thought she was going to be in trouble. I am still not sure what she pushed but instead of heating these for 25 seconds, they were in there a LONG time. Long enough to melt the plate and smoke up the kitchen! She was crying and I asked her if it was because she was scared and she said no, she was crying because she wanted to make Mackenzie breakfast because she was the little one. Best. big. sister. ever.

The Heavens

Wednesday, July 28, 2010 We drove over to Falls Creek today to visit Jason. We went over in the early afternoon so we could hang out all day and have dinner. Macy had been telling me all week how much she missed Jason and she said the sweetest thing as we were pulling into Falls Creek. She said "Momma tears keep trying to come out of my eyes because I miss Daddy so much." I thought it was so adorable.

We had a fun day visiting but I didn't want to get home too late so we left at about 8:00. We couldn't have left at a better time. The sky was so beautiful and ever changing the whole drive home. The girls just kept commenting on all the yellows, reds, pinks, purples and patches of clouds. It was awesome to enjoy God's beautiful creation!
