We finally got approved for the grant that we started applying for last summer! They came out and put our storm shelter in today. The kids thought it was pretty cool. And I'm happy because we don't have to freak out about where to go next time we have tornados!
That's great! The peace of mind that you get knowing you have one nearby in case the situation calls for it is just invaluable. Don't forget to keep your shelter updated with emergency supplies. Or you can also use it as another storage room.
