Snowpocolypse - Day 1
Tuesday, February 1, 2011
This is the nastiness we woke up too. Not only was it only 13 degrees, the wind chill was like -5. That is never OK. Ever. But at least we still had power!!! Thank the Lord!!
OOOO... so pretty.
Macy was the only one brave enough to venture outside today. She was sooo excited to have snow and most of all, to get out of school! The poor child only lasted about 5 minutes. It was SOOO cold and still snowing.
Mackenzie, using her better judgment, decided to stay inside. We tried to get her to go outside but she would have none of it! I really can't say I blame her.
And Noah was just completely fascinated! He had no idea what snow was. He loved looking out the window watching it snow. So cute!

My Sad Little Toe
You Are So Beautiful... To Me....

AHHHH!!! I got a new sewing machine!! I know not many people can appreciate this, but the few who do, I know you understand!! I loved my old one but it got to where the tension was always messing up and tangling my thread and my stitches were always uneven and wonky. And as much as I have been sewing I wanted one with a few more features. This one sews like a dream! It's so quiet and easy to use. And I love all the decorative stitches it can do. I already have some plans in store for those. I LOVE IT!!!
A Beaten Wife
Craft Day
So close......
Thursday, January 27, 2011
Noah is soooo close to crawling! He can get anywhere by rolling and turning.
This is his new favorite pose. The baby splits. He does this when he doesn't want to go down on his belly but is trying REALLY hard to reach something!

And, he has mastered going from his belly and scooting back onto his bottom and then up into a sitting position. Macy did this too before she could crawl and I remember her pediatrician saying that it was very unusual for them to do that before crawling. That's my kids!

Homemade Pop Tarts
Wednesday, January 26, 2011
Since I was stuck at home "taking it easy" and could finally eat what I wanted, I felt the need to make homemake pop tarts. They were a little too crusty and not quite enough filling, but were still really good. I know what to change next time. We just slathered more jam on top of them and called it good!

Gallbladder Surger Day. Dun-Dun-Dun
Tuesday, January 25, 2011
Today was the day to get my gallbladder out. I was happy because I knew I would feel better but it was still kind of scary! My surgery wasn't till 3:30 so I was starving by the afternoon!
All my lovely incisions and puffy belly. Did you know they blow you up with air when they do laproscopic surgery?!? That just doesn't seem OK. Since I had kind of slept away my afternoon and evening and was all hopped up on pain meds I was feeling pretty good when we got home. I stayed up till midnight watching TV before I finally got sleepy enough to go to bed.
